People smoked long before tobacco industry or commercials existed. People smoke primarily because they find that pleasurable.
You’re the kind of health fascits we see these days. Let the people do what the like to do ! Simply enjoy a movie without thinking “hey, they show the bad habits, they shouldn’t”. People talk about tolerance and you don’t have a pinch of it.
For a just a simplistic scene that was pretty damn sexy, Lauren Bacall made one hell of an entrance.

beats the hell out of seeing 1/2 naked women in the movies and T.V. today who literally have no idea how to get laid by a man than to say, “let’s f*ck!”

Wow. Talk about living in an alternate reality. You seem to have confused acting with real life. They are not the same.

Are you fucking kidding me? Seen any Hollywood movies lately? Everyone smokes away like they’re fucking chimneys! That hasn’t changed! Why? Because Tobacco companies pay the studios so that the actors will smoke on screen. this way, ignorant shit-heads like you will think it’s COOL and FASHIONABLE and get sucked into the habit (pun intended)!

If you care to look at stats, cancer rates are lately skyrocketed, although people smoke a lot less. so cut your sanctimonious preaching, like you actually care about health. This is just an old movie. There are lot more dangerous habits, then smoking danges and eveyone already KNOWS that smoking MAY cause cancer, , it is reminded of every fucking day on all over media. And im not even a smoker.

I don’t understand how so many people choose ignorance over unrepudiated scientific fact: smoking cigarettes causes lung cancer!
June 16, 2012 at 4:10 pm (UTC 0)
comments from people like you give people cancers

How can anybody be as beautiful as her? She’s my favourite actress since I’m 12 years old. All right, I’m only 15, but anyway!
We’re not here to discusst cigarettes, which we all know that it’s bad for you and good for cancer, just to see the first screen appearence of one of the most beautiful actresses ever.
Excuse my bad English, and enjoy Lauren Bacall!!!!!
