It’s not so much that he’s big-headed, it’s that he was really short and slim, so his head looked big relative to his body.

Bacall was such an exotic woman, such a unique type of beauty. I love that husky voice. And I don’t know why, but I found it so sexy when she said “…dad didn’t tell you that?!” with that mischievous little smile of hers.

Great scene.Bogie`s dialogue is ace. Bacall was pretty young in this but already one of the biggest names in Hollywood. They were both to go on anti-HUAC marches. Irony: Bogie accused of being un-American.

That’s Lauren Bacall, Martha Vickers plays the sister of Bacall’s character. How could you confuse the two? Bacall just has such a distinct look…
