That’s true, but that Peter Lorre parody character is used mostly with other Hollywood actors/actresses parodies. He’d look out of place in this cartoon, where the humans (save for Yosemite Sam) are either props or backdrops.
Although, maybe WB thinks that we don’t remember Peter Lorre anymore?
I think a piece of my childhood just died watching this. It’s like the creators tried to remake Looney Tunes but didn’t really get the sensibilities of what made the classic cartoons work. Instead we have a dumbed down and hollowed out version of each character, distilled down to just their catchphrases. I need to go watch the real thing. You know, the ones with names like Mel Blanc, Chuck Jones, and Tex Avery in the credits.
